Our Story
Our building has a colourful history dating back to 1891. It began as Whangarei’s first court house and has since been home to a second-hand dealership, funeral parlour and real estate agency.
It now houses our friendly pub where you can find a warm and inviting atmosphere to meet up with friends for a drink and a meal.
We are locally owned by passionate Northlanders who love playing host to our loyal clientele as well as visitors from far and wide. The Judge is your classic pub – where you go to sink a pint, watch a bit of sport on the big screens, place a bet and enjoy a tasty good value meal.
Situated in central CBD, we are walking distance from the Whangarei shopping centre and a stone’s throw from the beautiful Town Basin and developing Hundertwasser Art Centre.
